Notification Preferences
Choose which Taifa Mail events notify you, and on which channels.
Taifa Mail keeps you informed about what is happening in your institution workspace - new API keys, domain health warnings, staff changes, mailbox events, and broadcast results. You control which of these reach you, and how.
Where notifications appear
The bell icon in the dashboard header opens the notifications drawer, with live updates as events happen. Each notification carries a category and a severity. The drawer lets you filter by category:

Read a single notification, or use Mark all read to clear the unread badge.
Channels
Notification preferences are a matrix of notification types by channel. Under Settings -> Notifications, each notification type has its own row: Domain health alerts, Deliverability drops, High bounce rate, New API key created, Quota reached, and Weekly summary. For each type you can independently toggle three channels:

| In-app | The in-app notifications drawer in the dashboard. |
A notification type with no saved preference defaults to on across all channels, so notifications keep working even if you never open the preferences page. Only an explicit toggle-off suppresses a channel. The In-app channel governs whether a notification appears in the drawer at all.
Changing your preferences
- Open the notifications drawer and click Notification preferences (or go to Settings).
- For each notification type, toggle the channels you want.
- Changes save automatically.
Preferences are per-user, not per-workspace. If you belong to several institution workspaces, your notification choices follow you across all of them.
